Maureen Denise McCormick was born on the 5th of August 1956 at Woodland Hills, California, the sole daughter of Richard McCormick and Irene McCormick. Her father taught at school, while her mother stayed at the house. Michael, Dennis and Kevin are her oldest brothers. McCormick was an accomplished performer and dancer at the age of 6. She was a puppeteer who would present shows to children from her neighborhood. At the tender age of six, McCormick won her first prize in the Baby Miss San Fernando Valley contest. It led her to get a phone message to Pat Domigan at the Jack Wormser Agency asking whether the girl might be interested in pursuing an employment in the entertainment industry. McCormick received her first major breakthrough in the year 1964. McCormick was a part of the Mattel commercial for "Baby Pattaburp" doll" which was Mattel's latest doll. In the same year, she appeared in a commercial for"the "Chatty Catherine" doll, and she was later cast in the role in the musical called Wind It up, and It breaks. 'The Brady Bunch' In 1969, McCormick was chosen from an audience of 1200 kids who had auditioned for the role of the youngest of three daughters in the brand new TV show The Brady Bunch, starring Florence Henderson and Robert Reed as newlyweds with an unintended family. The show ran for 5 seasons. McCormick in her memoir The Surviving Marcia Brady: Finding My True Voice released in 2008, disclosed that during the fifth season of her show, McCormick almost lost her relationship with her brother Barry Williams. He was 19 years old. She was 16. "It was predicted to occur," said the woman, "but it never happened at the right time to us."
